APO (Advanced Planner & Optimizer) module can make supply chain process a more efficient and functional process by using advanced and flexible applications. Therefore, for a complex supply chain system SAP APO is considered as a fundamental building block that would increase the process efficiency, arrange resource utilization, plan and perform logistic activities from the start to the end.

SAP APO module consists of four main headings:

• Demand Planning (APO DP)
• Supply Network Planning (APO SNP)
• Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling (APO PP/DS)
• Transportation and Distribution Planning (APO TP/VS)
