Erdemir Group, Turkey's biggest industrial corporation in terms of total assets has recently decided to re-structure its business processes with ARETE. The project covers the parent company of the group, ERDEMİR which is also the largest flat steel manufacturer of Turkey and İSDEMİR, long steel manufacturer whose production is now extended with flat steel by new hot mill investments.

Erdemir Group targets to create important values in its business processes, gain productivity in usage of time and effort at the end of the project. Through the SAP implementations, the group will be reaching the existing data flawlessly and the strategic forecasts will be carried out on the system. The basic target of the project is to eliminate the differences between the business processes of the companies within the Erdemir Group and create an integrated structure to manage them as ''a unique economic unit.''

Erdemir Group Project Manager Yusuf Önal stated: ''Erdemir SAP Project is a major project as of scope, developments and external system integrations. After the integration of ERP with current systems, our group will have a stronger e-business infrastructure; reach a better structure for the loop between BT and corporatization. This loop means office without hard copies, less bureaucracy, simple organization structure and delivering the needed data to the decision-makers without being processed by other hands.
